A 1993 graduate of Happy Valley, Babb played under legendary coach Charlie Bayless, who pushed his players hard but cared deeply for them. “Coach Bayless was a tough coach, but he cared about his players,” Babb recalled with a laugh. From there, Babb played two years at Walters State, where he lettered in basketball and helped the Senators to back-to-back 20-win seasons. Yet after more than 20 years of coaching, including six as head coach, Babb stepped away in 2019. And for the Happy Valley community and beyond, he remains a true Warrior — on the court, on the sidelines and now in the pulpit.
