Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., an advocate in the treatment of substance abuse, mental health issues, and problem gambling in the area, is once again participating in National Recovery Month. Held every September, National Recovery Month, which began in 1989, promotes and supports evidence-based treatment and recovery practices while celebrating the resilience and strength of individuals in recovery. “We know that recovery is achievable — it’s happening all around us every day,” said Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers President and CEO Melanie Blasko. Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers offers a wide range of services at all levels, from prevention to residential recovery programs, made possible through the support of the Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board, the Geauga Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services, and United Way of Lake and Geauga counties. Established as a private, nonprofit agency, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers has been serving the community continuously since 1971.
