Explorer reporter Mike Lynch has been digging into electric vehicle data for the Adirondacks, both in terms of total cars on the road and number of available charging stations throughout the region. While “charge anxiety” is still a concern for some EV owners, many of the residents and visitors he spoke with have noted the increase in chargers around the Adirondack Park. Much of the existing EV infrastructure that has been built in communities was paid for through state grants, leaving the question of whether the process is strategic in nature or only benefitting the communities that pursue funding?
