Sometime before the flight, Juli contacted United Airlines to ask about a possible upgrade to business class. Juli protested and told the agent that another United Airlines employee had offered her the mileage upgrade to business class already. I noted that she had been flying on a mileage award ticket, and as per the United Airlines upgrade policy, she should not have been able to upgrade her seat with miles or cash.
