Vermont’s legal marijuana market posted one of its strongest months yet in July, with $13.13 million in taxable sales and $1.84 million in excise taxes, according to data released today by the Department of Taxes.
That figure marks the second-highest monthly total since sales began, just shy of the record $13.15 million set in August 2024.
From January through July 2025, the state recorded $82.1 million in taxable cannabis sales, generating $11.79 million in excise tax revenue.
The year began with $11.61 million in sales in January and steadily climbed, highlighted by April’s 10.3% jump and July’s near-record total.
With monthly sales consistently exceeding $11 million since January, Vermont is on pace for another record-setting year, reinforcing the market’s role as a reliable source of tax revenue for the state.
