(Photo credit: Caean Couto-Imagn Images)Pittsburgh Steelers reserve guard Max Scharping suffered a season-ending torn ACL during practice on Wednesday, with the severity confirmed after an MRI, the NFL Network reported on Thursday. Scharping, 29, is listed as the second-string right guard behind Mason McCormick on the Steelers' depth chart. He played in two games for the Steelers last season and had just seven offensive snaps. The Houston Texans selected Scharping in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Northern Illinois. Scharping has played in 81 regular-season games for the Texans (2019-21), Cincinnati Bengals (2022-23) and Steelers, with all 33 starts with Houston.
