Thousands of people are expected the visit Nottingham's Goose Fair — one of Europe's biggest travelling fairs - over this weekend and throughout next week, after Lord Mayor Patience Ifediora declared the fair officially open at a ceremony on Friday afternoon (September 26). At one time it used to be held in the Old Market Square before its move to Forest Recreation Ground. A series of exciting white-knuckle rides and traditional favourites will bring crowds flocking to the annual fair, which runs until Sunday, October 5. After 11 months of planning, the 2025 fair has 350 rides, games and food stalls. Here are some exciting photographs from the first day of Goose Fair 2025.
