North Schuylkill’s Genevieve Dando had the highest finish among local competitors in the annual NEPA Invitational cross country meet, Saturday, at Bloomsburg University. Dando finished eighth in 20:25.00 in the high school girls’ race, which included runners from schools of all classifications. Tamaqua’s Aidan Elston (22nd) and North Schuylkill’s Cameron Jones (48th) had the top finishes for their respective teams. Among the local runners in 2.0-mile junior high races, Liam Arnold finished 10th in the boys’ competition in 10:49.50.
