The Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) has officially announced the commencement of the 27th edition of the MDFA Trophy, scheduled to begin on October 14, 2025, at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. During a press conference held at the MDFA office, officials along with the organizing committee unveiled key details about the tournament. All participating teams will also receive honorariums as a token of appreciation. Addressing the press conference, vice president (Technical), MDFA, Bendangnukshi, shared insights into the technical aspects of the tournament. This by-law mandates that teams participating must be from Mokokchung district, though it allows any player, regardless of origin, to take part in the competition.
