LAKE KATRINE, N.Y. — Kingston High’s girls cross-country team improved to 2-0 with a one-point victory over Monroe-Woodbury on Friday, Sept. 26. Charlotte McFarland was the Tigers’ top runner with a third-place finish in a time of 19 minutes, 21.2 seconds over the 3-mile course to help the Tigers post a 27-28 win. Other Kingston scorers were Hazel Lewis (fourth), Maeve Paul (fifth), Eden Hynes (seventh) and Sabine Harvey (eighth). Monroe-Woodbury registered a 15-50 victory over Kingston’s boys team (1-1). The Tigers’ top finisher was Jackson Beesmer (eighth).
