Arriva said its 61 service had to divert following the closure of Almond's Green in West Derby. ‌Writing on X, a spokesperson said: "Due to a police incident at Almonds Green service 61 will divert via Muirhead Avenue, Queens Drive, Mill Lane & Barnfield Drive towards Aigburth. ‌When contacted, a Merseyside Police spokesperson said a crash had caused the closure of the road. ‌Traffic monitor Inrix said: "Almonds Green Eastbound blocked, slow traffic due to police incident from Muirhead Avenue East to Hornspit Lane."
