Morse Micro, the provider of Wi-Fi HaLow silicon solutions, and The Things Industries, a global specialist in LoRaWAN network solutions, has announced a successful demonstration of Wi-Fi HaLow as a backhaul connection for LoRaWAN gateways connecting to The Things Stack Cloud.
The demonstration showcases how Wi-Fi HaLow’s extended range and low power consumption make it a suitable wireless backhaul solution for LoRaWAN gateways.
By integrating Morse Micro’s Wi-Fi HaLow technology with The Things Stack, operators can deploy LoRaWAN gateways without relying on Ethernet or traditional Wi-Fi infrastructure.
Wi-Fi HaLow operates in the sub-GHz frequency bands, delivering kilometre-range connectivity with high penetration through walls and obstacles.
