Apparently a Glasgow term, also used by people who were brought up in Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Renfrewshire. At first we thought this was just a Glasgow thing, but it turns out a few people up north say it too, go figure. This is a North Lanarkshire favourite and if you're unlucky enough to work with people from places like Coatbridge and Motherwell (unlucky) you'll have heard this phrase more often than you'd like to have.
